Hi, I am Alex,

I am proud to be your independent candidate for the Littlemoor and Preston ward in the forthcoming parish and district council elections on the second of May, 2024. My family moved to the ward in 2022, attracted by the pristine, gold beaches and historic Jurassic Coast perfect for our canine companions. Since our arrival, we’ve been warmly welcomed by the Littlemoor community.

In my mid-thirties, I come with extensive experience from the education sector, acquired internationally and nationally. I am excited to bring this fresh perspective and vigour into my future role as your councillor. I aim to promote local innovation, efficiency, opportunity, and independence, free from any national or local party affiliations and limitations.

In 2023, while Mr Drax MP raised concerns over the lack of any consultation with residents over Bibby Stockholm in Portland, I took action. I brought down the international press, participated in what felt like endless live TV interviews, organised and led protests that garnered hundreds. Though the anti-barge campaign ended in August, it uncovered the bullying tactics of the Home Office, against which I stood.

As an independent candidate, my main aim is to ensure your voice is heard in the decision-making process, free from political agendas. By voting for me for both Weymouth Town Council and Dorset Council, you are electing a community-focused, industrious, and open representative, unburdened by the constraints of party politics.
