*Dorset Council (DC) permits candidates to use Portland Library (update below), but unfairly prohibits the use of Littlemoor Library due to the lack of a "private" room. I reached out to the Electoral Commission, who told me that DC should have compiled a list of available public venues. leading to their last-minute scrambling and didn't include a venue in Preston Ward. With the list released late (at 17:31 on Thursday, 28.03.24), I couldn't update my flyer in time. Consequently, I'll be just outside the car park during the specified times. Notably, Portland Library isn't on the new list and since they've retracted their surgery there... This highlights further inefficiencies within Dorset Council.
